Facility Details – 645 Evans Avenue

This 5,000-square-foot building was the original 4-H building for the county fairs once held here. Keeping with the historical flavor of the building, the original interior and elegance remains, but with the added amenities of handicap-accessible restrooms, kitchen equipped with sink, refrigerator, and stove for warming.

Plenty of space for wedding receptions, graduation parties, group meetings, and entertainment needs.

The pavilion is a seasonal building that is open from mid April to mid October (approximately). Please note, the pavilion is not heated or air-conditioned. Guests are advised to dress appropriately for the weather.

The pavilion may be reserved for the current year and the upcoming year.

Early Set Up Rate

This is only available to renters with a standard reservation. Early set up is not available on Saturdays.

Rental Fees Include

  • Tables (There are 15 – 60″ round tables and 32 banquet tables available)
  • Up to 250 standard chairs
  • Room will be set with tables, chairs, and trash cans/bags when you arrive
  • Access to: standard size refrigerator/freezer, oven for warming (no meals prepared on site)
  • There is an option to add white folding chairs for an additional $2 per chair, per day.  (Must be done 3 weeks in advanced)

Rental Details and Restrictions

  • Rental fees and add-on item fees are subject to Indiana sales tax and are non-refundable.
  • Payment is due in full at time of reservation.
  • Set up and clean up must be done within your rental hours.
  • Renters are required to do their own decorating as well as set-up/removal of all personal items. Valpo Parks staff will take out the trash.
  • Decorations such as balloons (no helium), streamers, and enclosed candles are permitted, however you may not tape, nail, or pin anything to the walls, floors or posts.
  • Glitter and confetti are NOT allowed.
  • Caterers are welcome, or the renter may bring their own food.  No food shall be prepared on the premises (but may be warmed in the oven if needed)
  • Security will be required for any Wedding event, Quinceanera’s, or any other event serving alcohol. It is $50 cash per hour and due when you pick up the key for your event.
