Choosing a venue is one of the first decisions you’ll make in planning your special event. We invite you to look inside Saint Joseph’s Barn, a local landmark property that’s synonymous with unforgettable memories-old and new.
Saint Joseph’s Farm is steeped in local history. Since 1867, its roots have been firmly attached to the University of Notre Dame and surrounding communities. It was Father Edward Sorin who sought out a new venue for producing food for the rapidly growing Notre Dame. Since establishing the site, Holy Cross Brothers and Sisters farmed alongside generations of laypeople raising fruit, vegetables and livestock; carrying on the tradition that started more than 120 years ago.
Today the 1,400-acre farm is privately owned and includes 29 buildings, a well-known equestrian center and a large barn loft apartment. However, it’s our beautifully restored Saint Joseph’s Barn that is our showstopper. Its elegant wood beams and high lofted peaks are the perfect backdrop for formal weddings and informal gatherings.
The beautiful grounds surrounding the barn and the historic setting provide wonderful opportunities for photos. Personalize your experience with vast indoor and outdoor options.
We understand that it’s the little things that will make your event truly unforgettable. That’s why Saint Joseph’s Barn is the perfect choice for your special day. Here are just a few of our many amenities:
